Toilet seat doesn't stay in place - frustrating

I cannot understand why this toilet seat does not stay in place like other toilets. It slides off the toilet to the side. There is a flaw in the design unfortunately. Would prefer a wood seat that stays where it is supposed to stay. Very frustrated with this toilet and the seat.

I found another maker's video and fixed it. Hopefully it will stay in place now

FYI when installing the toilet seat be sure to following the instructions. We didn’t put the screws in the correct place therefore the seat was off. All is good now and working great!
