Our Story
The story of HOROW began with a business trip.
During a visit to a city with a high volume of hospital visitors, I happened to step into a public rehabilitation center's restroom. The space was cramped, the facilities outdated, and the odor overwhelming. What struck me most was that patients, elderly individuals, and even the staff had to manage their most basic bathroom needs in such a poor environment.
In that moment, I realized:
When hygiene is neglected, people are left helpless.
As I left, I couldn't stop asking myself:
“Why should we settle for an experience that’s not clean, not humane, and not dignified?”
After returning home, I began researching, learning, and building a team to understand the deeply overlooked needs in hygiene. We discovered that billions of people around the world were simply "getting by," accustomed to mediocre bathroom experiences, unaware that better options were available.
And among them, women’s needs are often the most overlooked. From intimate hygiene to comfort during menstruation, they face challenges most product designs simply don’t address. This made our mission even clearer: to design with empathy, for every body.
This is when HOROW was born.
